travel europe switzerland lucerne mt pilatus

Mt. Pilatus sits next to Lake Lucerne and provides beautiful, vast views of the surrounding area and parts of the Swiss Alps.
On our first trip to Europe in 1978, we visited Mt. Pilatus on a package ticket which included a funicular ride up the mountain,
a cog railroad ride down the backside, and a glass boat ride back across Lake Lucerne to the city.
On a roadtrip in 1984, I once again visited Mt. Pilatus, this time without the boat ride.
